Terms
The basis on which this website, its content and the research assistant are made available to you.
Last updated 12 August 2026
Scope
These terms govern your use of omnilex.ai. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
They do not govern legal services. Where the firm acts for a client, the engagement is governed by the engagement agreement concluded for that matter, which prevails over these terms in every respect.
No legal advice, no lawyer–client relationship
The content of this website is general information about the firm and about Swiss law. It is not legal advice, it does not take account of your circumstances, and you should not act on it without advice on your own matter.
Using this website — including submitting the contact form or asking the research assistant a question — does not make you a client. A lawyer–client relationship arises only once the firm has completed its conflict check and an engagement has been agreed in writing.
Because no such relationship exists, information you send through this website is not protected by professional secrecy. Please do not send confidential or privileged material until an engagement is in place.
The research assistant
The assistant on the Ask page answers questions from Swiss legal sources. It is an automated research tool. Its answers are generated by a language model and are not reviewed by a lawyer before you see them.
Answers may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and citations should be checked against the underlying source before being relied on. Nothing the assistant produces is legal advice or a legal opinion, and we accept no liability for reliance on it.
The assistant is offered free of charge and subject to a limit on the number of questions per visit. We may change, restrict or withdraw it at any time. You may not use it unlawfully, attempt to circumvent its limits, or use automated means to extract its content.
Published content
Insights and other published writing state the law as we understood it at the date of publication. The law changes and published material is not systematically revised. Fees shown on the service pages are indicative entry points for defined scopes; the price of an actual engagement is agreed in writing before any work begins.
Intellectual property
All content on this website is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights and belongs to Omnilex or its licensors. You may read and print it for private, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution, adaptation or commercial exploitation requires our prior written consent.
The Omnilex name and logo may not be used without permission.
Availability and third-party links
We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change or discontinue any part of it at any time, without notice.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Their content is outside our control and we accept no responsibility for it.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website or its content, including indirect and consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for unlawful intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Swiss law.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law governs these terms, to the exclusion of its conflict-of-law rules and of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Subject to any mandatory place of jurisdiction, the courts of Zürich have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
We may amend these terms at any time. The version published here when you use the site is the one that applies. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
