Professional regulation

The lawyers practising at Omnilex are admitted in Switzerland and entered in a cantonal register of lawyers. They hold the professional title of Rechtsanwältin or Rechtsanwalt, conferred in Switzerland.

Their practice is governed by the Federal Act on the Freedom of Movement for Lawyers (BGFA/LLCA, SR 935.61), the professional rules of the Swiss Bar Association, and the applicable cantonal legislation. Professional liability insurance is maintained as required by article 12(f) BGFA.

Lawyers are bound by professional secrecy under article 13 BGFA and article 321 of the Swiss Criminal Code. That duty is unlimited in time and covers everything entrusted to them in the exercise of their profession.
